Potable water distribution systems convey treated drinking water from supply points to consumers. Material selection must protect water quality, resist corrosion, and maintain hydraulic capacity over decades. uPVC pressure pipe systems are widely specified for municipal and building networks when sized and installed to the project standard.
Design checks typically include maximum working pressure (including surge), temperature derating for buried or exposed service, velocity limits to control head loss and stagnation, and compatible fittings/valves at metal interfaces. Final diameters and PN/Schedule must follow the project hydraulic model and the referenced product standard—not generic rules of thumb alone.
Drinking-water networks need chemically inert internals, stable flow coefficients, and joints that stay leak-tight under pressure cycles.
