ALFA AL-ARABIA manufactures fabricated PVC fittings for pipe diameters from 110 mm to 500 mm. Unlike injection-molded fittings (limited to smaller diameters by mold economics), fabricated fittings are constructed by cutting, heating, shaping, and welding sections of the parent pipe material in the factory. This allows production of virtually any fitting configuration — including non-standard angles, custom branches, and multi-port manifolds — matching the exact pipe OD, SDR, and pressure rating of the pipe system.
| Type | Factory-Fabricated Thermoplastic Fittings |

| Size Range | 110 mm to 500 mm OD |
| Pressure Rating | Matched to parent pipe PN/Schedule class |
| Standard Fittings | Bends, Tees, Reducers, Flanges, Saddles |
| Custom Fabrication | Available for non-standard configurations |
| Jointing | Solvent Cement & Rubber Ring (matching pipe system) |
Sweep Bends (11.25°, 22.5°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°): Large-radius bends fabricated by segmental mitre welding. Sweep bends provide a gradual change of direction that minimizes head loss and prevents turbulence. Standard centre-line radii are 1.5D, 2D, or 3D (where D = pipe outside diameter). Longer radii produce lower friction loss.
Tees (Equal & Reducing): Branch fittings allowing connection of a lateral pipe to the main line. Equal tees have the same diameter on all three ports. Reducing tees have a smaller branch diameter. Standard branch angles are 90° and 45°.
Reducers (Concentric & Eccentric): Transition fittings connecting pipes of different diameters. Concentric reducers maintain the pipe centreline; eccentric reducers offset the centreline to maintain the soffit (top) level — important in gravity sewer systems.
Flange Adapters: Allow connection of PVC pipe to flanged valves, pumps, and other equipment. A PVC stub-end is welded to a backing ring (GRP or metallic) with bolt holes matching the flange standard (BS 4504 / ANSI B16.5).
Saddle Branches: Allow a branch connection to be made to an existing pipe without cutting the main line. Used for service connections, tapping, and lateral connections on live or installed mains.

All ALFA fabricated fittings are manufactured from the same production-grade pipe stock used for the mainline pipes, ensuring material consistency. The fabrication process uses controlled-temperature bending ovens and hot-plate welding equipment operated by trained technicians.
Each fabricated fitting is visually inspected for weld quality, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy. Pressure-rated fittings are hydrostatically tested at 1.5× working pressure before dispatch. Fittings are marked with: fitting type, nominal size, pressure class, production date, and ALFA AL-ARABIA identification.
Injection-molded fittings are mass-produced in steel molds and are economical for small to medium diameters (up to about 110 mm). Fabricated fittings are individually made from pipe sections for larger diameters where injection molds would be prohibitively expensive. Fabricated fittings can be produced in any configuration, including custom non-standard designs.
Yes. ALFA's fabrication facility can produce custom fittings to customer specifications, including non-standard angles, multi-branch manifolds, and custom adapter pieces. Provide a dimensioned sketch or drawing with your inquiry and our engineering team will quote accordingly.
Fabricated fittings are designed to match the pressure rating of the parent pipe system. However, the welds are typically the controlling factor, so fabricated fittings are generally rated at 80% of the parent pipe pressure class unless specifically tested to full rating.
Standard fittings (bends, tees, reducers in common sizes) are typically available within 3-5 working days from order. Custom fittings require engineering review and may take 7-14 working days depending on complexity.
Store on flat surfaces protected from direct sunlight. Protect socket ends from damage. Rubber rings should be kept in their factory packaging until installation. Do not stack heavy items on top of fittings.
