Yes. CPVC is post-chlorinated to 63-69% chlorine content, giving it exceptional resistance to mineral acids up to 85-90°C where standard uPVC or metallic alloys fail.
Heavy-bodied industrial CPVC solvent cement meeting ASTM F493 combined with purple primer meeting ASTM F656 is mandatory. For high-purity chemical streams, specific two-step solvent welding procedures must be strictly enforced.
